Study Release Engineer

Overview

ERT is looking to hire a Study Release Engineer to be responsible for releasing Clinical Study components into Staging, UAT, and Production environments. This includes StudyWorks, Gather, Trial Oversight, EXP and IMS Study Releases. This person will be troubleshooting deployed studies and study specifications, and environmental issues studies are running on. In this role you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting integrations developed by the ERT Service Delivery Team.

Responsibilities

Deploy clinical study software into Dev, Staging, UAT and Production environments
1. Support and aid in the resolution of all product related issues during implementation, deployment and post-deployment of clinical trials


2. Interface with engineering and maintain documentation with regard to the configuration and installation qualification of new software and hardware


3. Ability to work independently and in a team environment


4. Mentor/train new and other members of the team


5. Deploy SQL scripts as part of the clinical study release process


6. Configure web server for study deployments


7. Assist the manager in developing training material for the new staff and implementing internal checklists and best practices.

Qualifications

Education:

• BS/BA or equivalent

Experience:

• 4 -7 years of strong understanding of Microsoft server operating systems, IIS, .Net and Apache Tomcat applications


• Understanding of VMWare, Load Balancer and firewalls


• Experience running SQL scripts against relational database servers (2+ years)


• Experience writing SQL scripts to aid in troubleshooting required


• Experience with configuration and release automation tools and scripting, with domain specific languages experiences (Ruby, Perl, Bash, python...) preferable


• Must be skilled at organizing, planning, and problem solving


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working with internal service operation, product development and customer care teams
