Operations Specialist, Sr, CA ReOrg

Position Description:

Ops Sr Specialist - CA Reorg responsible for performing high level specialized operational securities processing activities in support of the firm's business lines. As a senior level subject matter specialist, s/he deals with more complex issues as they relate to his/her area of focus. Other activities included: Assess and provide solutions for requirements and risks of new business/products/services/asset classes as it relates to CA processing, develop and evaluate meaningful metrics according to client expectations, Assist in process improvements, development of new products, and workflows to meet these key performance indicators and respond to all complex escalated client inquiries on a daily basis, displaying ownership over each resolution.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all clients' corporate action instructions are accepted and processed by deadline.

  • Support the analysis of corporate action events to identify complexities, operational complications and confirm that all events have been processed in accordance with BBH's standards of operational excellence.

  • Resolution of instruction repairs in an abbreviated timeframe

  • Release of client voluntary instructions to the market.

  • Respond to all complex escalated client inquiries on a daily basis, displaying ownership over each resolution.

  • Host Webinars and client presentations to educate and familiarize clients to BBH's Product suite and automated tools.

  • Review client feedback, RFPs, and inquiries for trends. Utilize this information to determine product gaps, train clients, propose solutions and reduce overall inquiry volume.

  • Participate in new business/due diligence client presentations and meetings.

  • Develop a department culture focused on client service excellence and superior product offerings.

  • Highlight relevance of Corporate actions Products to clients through demonstrating a strong knowledge of BBH's Departments/LOBs, systems, and services.

  • Assess and provide solutions for requirements and risks of new business/products/services/asset classes as it relates to CA processing.

  • Involvement in subcustodian surveillance and management, including participation in Due Diligence visits and service calls.

  • Develop and evaluate meaningful metrics according to client expectations, Assist in process improvements, development of new products, and workflows to meet these key performance indicators

  • Challenge all processes, procedures, and practices, both internal and external (client, subs, etc) and identify creative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and improve the client experience.

  • Employ event analysis in a critical evaluation of BBH's Corporate Action Product offering, Determine product gaps and areas of risk. Solve them by enacting system, industry and process change.

  • Implementing operational control policies and procedures

  • Participation in Audit review of Corporate Actions practices.

  • Foster leadership within the department by exemplifying overall knowledge of BBH Departments /LOBs and their relevance to CA products

  • Develop department culture focused on client service excellence and superior product offerings.

Qualifications:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience.

  • Maintain a strong knowledge of BBH's Departments/LOBs, systems, and services.

  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels both within and outside the organization.

  • Customer Service orientation, works to exceed client expectations

  • Demonstrated excellence in Written/Verbal communications to a variety of audiences

  • Research, diagnostic, analytical and problem resolution skills.

  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to diligently work in a deadline-driven environment

  • Proactive self starter who is detail and goal oriented
