Advanced Practice Nurse-Psychiatry at Nemours in Wilmington, Delaware

Job Description:

Nemours in WIlmington, Delaware is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to work with our psychiatry team!

This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, consultants, nurses, and other health care providers, dedicating his/her specialized work to patients on the psychiatry service. Patients range in age from 0 to 21 years with acute and chronic illnesses of mild to moderate complexity in inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidate must have the ability to be self-directed and flexible as a team member.

Psychiatry APRNs will:

• Engage in outpatient psychiatry clinic - manage patients in the outpatient clinic
• Have the ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team and adaptation to a rapidly changing clinical environment are critical
• Have strong communication skills with team members of varying levels of experience from with novice through expert are essential
• Act as pediatric hospital consult/liaison: work with teams to support medical/surgical staff in the management of patients with psychiatric disorders
• Participate in call schedule

• Master of Science in Nursing
• Three years of related clinical experience
• Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required
• Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure with Prescriptive Authority
• Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
• Federal DEA registration with Delaware Address
• Current appropriate pediatric or psychiatric-mental health national certification
