Minimal Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree (A.S., A.A.) in computer science or related area; 2 years application development, system solution or related experience. * Master's degree in related area of study preferred. * Minimum Education Qualification can be substituted with an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Preferred qualifications:

Preference will be given to individuals who possess: * Master's degree in related area of study preferred. * Web Development Experience (HTML, CSS, JS). * RDBMS Experience. * Object Oriented Programming Language Experience (Programming Competency). * Technical Documentation Writing Experience. * Version Control Experience. * Content Management System Experience. * Software Testing Experience. * Customer Interaction Experience.

Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.

Compensation
Hiring range is $61,667 to $67,385. A competitive benefit package is included.

Incumbents analyze, plan, design, develop, code, maintain, and update assigned networks, systems, applications, and/or databases.




Typical Essential Duties

* Analyzes user needs and designs, develops, installs, maintains, and updates systems, websites, report functions, applications, or databases, using programming languages and development tools; ensures proper functioning, browser compatibility, inclusion of effective graphic elements, suitability with user needs, and compliance with ADA and applicable guidelines.

* Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues or malfunctions related to information systems and/or telecommunications networks and equipment; monitors system authorization and security; and trains applicable users on new or modified information systems, and telecommunication system and equipment usage.

* Maintains the district-wide telecommunications network, to include voice, data, and video cabling infrastructure; work may involve developing plans to maximize system usage, coordinating with vendors, preparing cost estimates, ordering materials, authorizing payments, processing bills, and preparing and recording voicemail messages during College closings.

* Installs and tests software upgrades and patches, creates system queries, writes codes, performs database batch backups, processes data, and ensures data accuracy.

* Prepares, maintains, reviews, and/or updates technical, statistical, and other general reports, contracts, records, databases, and other documentation and online systems; work may involve researching, analyzing, and reporting technical information; and ensuring information accuracy.

* Coordinates with team members, clients, staff, vendors, and other internal and external personnel, departments, or agencies, and attends meetings, to communicate and gather information, remain current on new practices and trends, maintain network infrastructure, improve processes, and facilitate departmental operations.

* Perform other duties as assigned.
