Job Description:

We’re looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our growing team at ContainerPort Group that focuses on delivering service that inspires! Our Customer Success Team is looking to add an energetic, well spoken, and patient problem solver to help drive the success of our customers. Your role is a very important part of driving success for our organization and ensuring our customers’ expectations aren’t just met but exceeded.  You excel when our customers understand the value of using ContainerPort Group for their trucking needs.

As a Customer Service Coordinator, you will act as an extension of our customers’ own internal team and ensure they are always in the know on where, when, and how their freight is moving. You will work with customers to remove any barriers to their success and identify opportunities to help grow the partnership and expand business opportunities.

This position is a first shift, Monday through Friday opportunity, and this employee will report directly to the Terminal Manager in Cincinnati! 

Your typical day looks like:


  • Communicating quote rates and service capabilities

  • Processing orders as they arrive

  • Providing information on shipment status, anticipated service failures, new pick-up and delivery times, and alternative solutions if applicable

  • Gathering feedback, identify trends, and bringing new ideas to improve the customer experience

  • Entering time sensitive order information accurately into computer systems

  • Responding to questions and requests as quickly as possible, making every effort to exceed customer expectations

  • Ensuring customer location and contact information is up to date and accurate in computer systems

  • Performing other duties as requested

You’ll partner with an internal team of colleagues and our customers to develop and execute solutions for critical transportation and logistics problems. This is a hands-on, high execution role which requires excellent communication skills to become a true partner to our customers. You will be an advocate for our customers and bring their feedback and needs back to our internal team for discussion about how we can improve our capabilities and service. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • High school Degree / GED required.

  • Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner.

  • Strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced, always-on, deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and accurately execute time sensitive tasks.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous transportation experience

  • Experience working with container freight transportation

  • Proficiency in a foreign language is preferred
