Manages all financial accounting: GL, Fixed Asset, AP, AR, Sales and Property taxes, Cost Accounting and Payroll Accounting
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial transaction posting to GL, delivering an accurate and timely month-end close.
Oversee all financial audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance
Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for all accounting functions.
Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP.
Responds to VP Finance assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages AP and AR leads and Staff Accountant.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, coaching, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing issues, and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA Certification a plus. Must have 5-7 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge
Oracle experience preferred.
Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing excellent communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.
Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines.
