Job Description

The Amazon Field Sales Analyst (FSA) is instrumental to the excellence in execution across the Amazon ecosystem. It is key to the achievement of customer team objectives as the role fully owns the Retail Operations function on the Amazon team, ultimately working closely with business teams to analyze all aspects of business plans and provide recommendations to business leaders around DPSM to influence business results with the customer.  Given the dynamics of ecommerce and the sheer amount of ASINs to manage on an everyday bases, the Amazon FSA plays a critical role in ongoing business management by problem-solving issues on the platform and maximizing sales, addressing content gaps and action plans via Amazon SAS and agency partners. This role also supports the analytical work needed to support KC’s business on Amazon fresh.
 

Key Business Objectives:


  • Deliver Net Sales, Contribution, Category Share, and DPSM Objectives for assigned customer team and BU(s)

  • ASIN Level Rollover, variations, New Item Launch support and PDP maintenance

  • The Amazon FSA standard work is so closely tied to PDP/ shelf conditions, the impact is likely to manifest in conversion results, that on an annual basis are worth at least $5MM in OPS.
     

Essential Functions:


  • ASIN Level Rollover and New Item Launch support

    • Accuracy of new item inputs at ASIN level are critical to avoid price discrepancies & post audits

    • During a rollover, ASINs needs individual treatment to be set up properly and ensure all PDP elements are on track and executed. This work is equivalent to the “lift” that brick & mortar stores take on during physical shelf resets, only in eCommerce, the vendor carries this work.

    • Old ASINs need management as well, including PDP strip downs and shipping exclusions.



  • Ongoing PDP maintenance and 3P defense

    • PDP conditions can change daily, often driven by persistent 3P sellers, Andon Cords, or system glitches. Even narrowing the scope to 252 Horse + Growth ASINs, assuming 2 min of corrective action per ASIN, this is a full day’s work at 8.4 hours!

    • Activities include: Variation management, content management, and troubleshooting product availability.



  • Vendor Relationship Ownership, accountable for its performance

    • ASIN catalogue maintenance

    • Focal point of contact with KC Digital Commerce IQ team for all content needs/solutions. K-C’s technology partner, Commerce IQ, is critical on our journey to automate and streamline Amazon Team retail operations and excellent shelf management.

    • Continuous optimization of the tool.



  • Retail Operations Capability Build (CIQ)

    • Like any agency partner, CIQ requires consultation and partnership from K-C to successfully deliver on K-C’s needs / projects. To do this, the Amazon FSA owns the CIQ relationship and developed a JBP between K-C and Amazon, Inclusive of coaching CIQ on necessary enhancements, developing use cases to further automate and monitoring their monthly progress on K-C’s asks.

    • CIQ today automates select use cases on behalf of K-C. K-C is partnering with CIQ to make the tool even more actionable and efficient by launching real time alerts from current day’s scrap (vs. the current capability which is yesterday’s scrap data), improving push notifications to drive user adoption and expanding the automated use cases.



  • General

    • Maintain trusted and respected relationships with customer business team, business leaders, and customers as a trusted partner in analysis and execution of business plans.

    • Effectively communicate (orally and written) to individuals and groups when necessary to gain alignment and resources needed to achieve results

    • Conduct business and data analyses to build data driven recommendations for improvements and advancements

    • Show flexibility to adapt and support the organization through times of change

    • Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of Microsoft Excel software program and create professional PowerPoint presentations incorporating relevant data, insights and information.

    • Ability to operate and use telephone, computer/laptop and other technological devices/software programs to communicate with other people

    • Ability to travel via aircraft, and operate and drive motor vehicles for business travel, with valid driver license


Department specific/non-essential functions, include but not limited to:


  • Promptly reconcile and communicate changes and conduct team adjustment to new changes adjusting to meet requirements of changing conditions/situations.

  • Maintain effectiveness of varying environments with different tasks, responsibilities and people.

  • Keep team leader informed on status of plans and programs, changing conditions, requirements of marketplace, competitive activity, issues and accomplishments that may affect sales results.
     

Minimum Requirements


  • Education required: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience: Advanced analytical proficiency with at least 2-5 years of experience in sales data analysis, forecasting or supply chain. 

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of forecasting, supply and demand processes, shelf reset experience, business planning processes and tools. Ecommerce expertise.

  • Experience working in Consumer Package Goods (CPG) industry and K-C customer/retailer accounts

  • Track record of developing recommendations that lead to exceeding results.

  • Skills/Competencies: Results, strategy and vision orientation, advanced analytical, data extraction and analysis, trends and insights development, strong oral and written communication, business intuition, relationship builder

  • Other Skills: Strong customer focus, prioritization and time management, active listening, ability to work independently

Organizational relationships:

Reports to Director of Sales, Sr. Team Leader, or VP Customer Development.  Will interact with Sales team TL, BDM/CBP, Category Analysts, Shopper Marketers, BA, Customer Replenishment Analyst, Customer Forecast Analyst, Customer Service Analyst, Production Planning, Supply Chain teams, Order Settlement.
