You will report to our National Proposal Manager and will serve as a coordinator to our United States-based proposal managers/business development support teams; provide support and ensure delivery of high-quality proposals and presentations. You will collaborate with other proposal team members and manage internal resources, plan, develop, and complete assigned tasks, including development of proposal scope, plans for proposal preparation, proposal outlines, schedules, assignments, graphics, competitive analysis, and win themes.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integrate and work directly with Senior Leadership, Business Unit Managers and Practice Area Leaders/Subject Matter Experts to develop proposals to position Cardno for success in capturing new work/clients
Engaging and being proactive in internal relationship building with key technical leaders
Monitor compliance with Request for Proposals/Qualifications (RFP/RFQs)
Write, coordinate, and assemble proposal sections
Coordinate status meetings/teleconferences and draft/final reviews
Organize and participate in business development coordination calls
Coordinate development of oral presentations
Work with technical and senior leadership teams primarily in the northeast region
Ensure compliance with essential processes, protocol, and pursuit close-out
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, professional communications, environmental sciences, or a closely related writing field
5+ years of applicable experience in A/E/C industry
Knowledge of government contracts and RFPs
Meet schedules under deadline
Offer strong attention to detail and RFP/RFQ compliance
Have an understanding of document production process (review cycles and functions of document processing, editing, graphics design, and final assembly)
Have good document management skills; ability to maintain proposal budget and schedule
Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours and weekends, when necessary, including some holidays during proposal preparation efforts
Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., Cosential, Salesforce, Deltek Vision, etc.)

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Superior writing skills, strong technical writing skills, editorial and quality assurance expertise
Excellent coordination skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and experience leading a team
Coordinate logistics and proposal team input
Integrate technical information in a persuasive manner
Advanced skills with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft applications - (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) for proposal layout, graphics, and production
Interface productively with technical staff, graphics designers, document processors, and editor/writers
Implement and comply with Cardno's Quality Management system and provide feedback / recommendations where the system may need modification
