Senior Project Manager Opportunity Overview



Provide leadership in project design and implementation. Oversee the documentation and validation of the needs of the project stakeholders, support personnel, and end-users. Oversee complex and advanced software implementation requiring advanced knowledge of delivered software applications and their interfaces. Work closely with clients, discussing existing business models, reviewing and outlining high level designs, and communicating appropriate solutions, processes, and workflow to the development team. Oversee the maintenance of accurate documentation and business processes through project completion.


As a Senior Project Manager with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:



  • Oversee all phases of systems implementation projects to successful completion. Provide status updates to Senior and Executive Management.

  • Responsible for overseeing multiple project activities including the delegation and tracking of project tasks, risks, and development/maintenance schedules. Determine available resources, define outcomes, and assign tasks.

  • Direct an organized and systematic approach to project task completion while managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.

  • Oversee the testing of system implementation and updates, documentation of results, error reporting, and follow through to ensure resolution.

  • Drive a thorough knowledge of the needs of a business unit and systems technology for business problem solving. Act as a project liaison between departments.

  • Responsible for identifying and recommending training needs and updates to policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for complying with, and ensuring projects are in alignment, policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.



QUALIFICATIONS



Education & Certifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, Business or related field required



Experience




  • 8+ years in of IT project management experience in the banking, finance, or insurance industry required



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




  • Extensive project management experience with Microsoft Project, bank operations, and bank products. Advanced knowledge of core banking system features and third party products.

  • Advanced knowledge of user acceptance testing methodologies, principles, and practices of process development and implementation along with comprehensive banking/business unit system, software, and applications.

  • Advanced PC program skills and extensive experience with Excel, data warehouse products, and other similar systems. Ability to handle complex problems to achieve project and department goals.

  • Extensive verbal and written communication skills for a variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical). Ability to analyze problems of a technical nature with high accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to accurately document problems and resolutions.

  • Possess a high level of analytical ability to understand sophisticated programs/systems for resolving business problems. Extensive leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage complex projects and improvements with varied team sizes, scope, and corporate-wide implications.

  • Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize and plan work activities using time effectively, meet deadlines and commitments, and work independently with little or no directional guidelines from manager.

  • Up to 20%



Compensation & Benefits




  • Targeted starting salary range (based on experience and location): $108,000 - $145,000 annually
