Job Description:

The primary function of the investment specialist role is to represent investment teams and strategies to internal partners, prospects and existing clients. The investment specialist is responsible for positioning/messaging product with the ultimate goal of driving business both in terms of new business and providing superior client service. To do this effectively requires a strong partnership with portfolio managers and other investors. The IS role is independent, but it sits within a team that shares a common goal. The investment specialist will work with product strategy, product development and other internal groups to oversee existing products and new product initiatives.

This position is best suited for ambitious, proactive and results oriented individuals. The ability to collaborate with teammates and other partners is a must. Candidates should be able to think big picture and execute on a plan. They must have strong interpersonal and communications skills. Significant capital markets experience, a strong understanding of the financial service industry and recent client experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience
• Progress towards or completion of a CFA or comparable preferred
• Series 7, 63 & 3 preferred
• Strong ability to assess risk and comfortable with risk taking
• Strong understanding of U.S. equity products and services
• Strong understanding of financial services industry, capital markets and derivatives
• Demonstrable ability to review and articulate investments with clients
• Excellent writing, communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Team oriented and exceptional work ethic
