What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking a results-driven Global Strategic Alliance Manager. We are looking for someone passionate about technology and business strategy to lead some of our most strategic partnerships. The Partnerships team is responsible for managing our key relationships, and is the primary point of contact for our internal and external stakeholders.

This position requires high-levels of creativity, strategic thinking and leadership skills as you will be called upon to identify and drive some of our top initiatives, while working cross-functionally with our Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal teams. 

How you will do it

  • Help set and drive product strategy and new business opportunities with key partners, including top technology companies and other key ecosystem partners.

  • Define partnership/market requirements, produce qualitative and quantitative analysis of product/program performance, aggregate feedback, and explore new strategic opportunities.

  • Track, analyze and communicate key metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships.

  • Maintain, direct and active relationships with partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and policy issues and serving as an internal advocate.

  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Marketing and Public Relations to launch products and partnerships.


What we look for


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in product/platform, partnership or technical experience in technology-focused companies, including 5+ years of similar partner-facing experience.

  • Experience defining, developing and leading large programs in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

  • Proven track record of organizational leadership.

  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building.

  • Strong analytical skills.


  • MBA Degree.

  • Relationship with existing network across prominent technology companies.

  • Understanding of Johnson Controls’ strategic and competitive position in the market.
