This 140+ bed short term acute care hospital is a part of a larger healthcare organization throughout the United States, offering upward mobility to the Radiology leader. This facility offers a wide range of medical services, to include: a large 24/7 emergency room, advanced cardiovascular services, inpatient surgery, an outpatient surgery center, inpatient care, and rehabilitation services. This facility offers CT, CTA, MRI, and SPECT. Additionally, this hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is nationally recognized for its excellence in nursing care.

The Director of Radiology will be responsible for oversight of the entire department, to include radiology, diagnostic imaging, and nuclear medicine. Under the general direction of the Medical Director, the Radiology Director will have 24-hour accountability over the department. The Director of Radiology must have the ability to:

• Effectively collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure optimal patient care outcomes


• Manage Diagnostic Imaging Department staff, with inclusion of oversight of staff scheduling, hiring, training, and development


• Develop and implement policies and tactics with regard to current evidence-based practice, ultimately improving patient turnover time in the radiology department


• Lead and mentor staff, promoting a positive work environment, and providing well-developed hands-on leadership skills

The Director of Radiology must be ARRT-certified. Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred. 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in this clinical area is required.
