Job Description:

Belcan Government IT Solutions is seeking Resumes for a Security Specialist, Intermediate with a broad understanding and extensive knowledge and experience working OPSEC, Industrial Security, DD 254 Process, Information Security (AR 380-5), Security Classification, Physical Security (X-09 Series Locks, Safes, Sergeant & Greenleaf locks), Personnel Security-JPAS, PSM net and HSPD-12. The successful candidate will advise and assist with program protection functions. In addition to the aforementioned understanding, knowledge and experience, the successful candidate will assist the PM Security Manager with matters pertaining to the Security regulations and policies governing acquisitions dissemination, reproduction, transmission, safekeeping, and destruction of classified material. The successful candidate will also support the PM Security Manager on matters related to the classification, downgrading, de-classification, and safeguarding of national security. This position is full time 5 days, 40 hours in Product Manager Multi-Mission Surveillance Systems, Bldg 6006, APG, MD



Duties, Responsibilities and Skills


  • Support the customer's security program by interpreting, informing, and providing guidance to program personnel on security policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Support and assist the organization by tracking the status of personnel's clearances to ensure re-investigations are initiated within the appropriate timelines

  • Verify visitors via JPAS and process visitor badges in the Security Management System (SMS)

  • Track, print and create campus badges for personnel

  • Establishing, documenting and implementing program security procedures/SOPs/plans

  • Maintain and manage all classified holdings, conduct reviews/inventory, organize material


  • Review, develop and track DD Form 254s and security justification/language for program PWS/SOWs

  • Review program and documentation for compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) plan; implement OPSEC measures

  • Generate/conduct security-tailored briefings; track security education and training compliance

  • Provide status updates to leadership and recommended solutions for issues related to program security

  • Provide Security Classification Guide (SCG) recommendations, train personnel on the requirements of the program SCG(s), ensure compliance of the SCG(s), review documents against the SCG(s) and assist derivative classifiers with application of the SCG(s).

  • Provide organization Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) security support to include Cyber Security Readiness Inspections (CCRI), establishing procedures for use of the facility, and provide training to personnel pertaining to the proper procedures and capabilities of the room.

  • Conduct OPSEC reviews on program information being submitted for foreign disclosure review

  • Protect government information (controlled unclassified information, technical information, classified information), monitor information for proper markings IAW security procedures; ensure compliance with all aspects of the program including administration of U.S. Army Regulations, DoD Regulations, policies, manuals and procedures.

  • Manage and participate as a part of integrated product teams to conduct threat and vulnerability analysis/assessments, critical program information (CPI) assessments, SCG developments, and to accomplish other programmatic needs

  • Advise and represent the organization on matters related to the classification, downgrading, de-classification, and safeguarding of national security information

  • Establish procedures for ensuring all persons handling classified material are properly cleared

  • Ensure PdM team personnel are knowledgeable of and compliant with all applicable administrative and security requirements, while assigned to, participating in, or supporting organization activities

  • Perform key custodian duties IAW the programs key control plan

  • Provide security assistance for test events involving program systems

  • Provide security support to the organization to include attending meetings, providing security advice and guidance, and establishing security procedures

  • Advise and assist with program protection functions




QUALIFICATIONS:



The following qualifications are required for position:



  • Must be a US citizen and possess a valid Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to upgrade to Top Secret if needed

  • Education requirement is a Bachelor's Degree and four years' experience acting as a security specialist for a Government or Contractor organization. An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu if a degree.

  • Previous experience as a cognizant security officer or facility security officer desired
