Description

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Associates degree preferred. Minimum of two to three (2 to 3) years of proven aviation materials, HAZMAT, supply, storage and inventory control experience.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports directly to the Manager of Logistics or the Supply Supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position receives, stores, and issues equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, tooling, and compiles stock record in support of the aircraft, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

1. Orders, distributes and maintains an inventory of adequate parts, supplies and equipment, to be available for distribution to all team members in support of mission requirements, keeping detailed records of each item received and issued.
2. Counts, sorts and weighs incoming parts, supplies and equipment to
3. verify precise receipt of items as per itemized purchase orders and invoices.
4. Ensures the efficient and effective repair of aircraft components, assemblies and other mission-support equipment and tools by utilizing repair orders or other acceptable repair procedures. Furthermore, this position will assist in monitoring Calibration for all test and support equipment.
5. Conducts initial inspection of incoming items to verify conformance to
6. Government and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and is responsible for properly preparing, packing, labeling, and processing parts, tools or equipment for shipping.
7. Proficient in operation of shipping computer software program to ensure accurate and precise labeling of outgoing shipments.
8. Conducts routine sampling inspections of existing stock to verify compliance to Government and FAA regulations, ensuring that all items past their expiration date or otherwise deemed unserviceable are removed from stock and replaced with new stock.
9. Stores all parts, supplies and equipment in their assigned locations according to identifying information such as style, size, bend location or type of material.
10. Ensures all Hazardous Material (HazMat) items are properly stored as per Federal, local and base procedures and assists with monitoring HazMat. Ensures Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) books are updated.
11. Assures acceptable or required levels of supply mission readiness by conducting regularly scheduled physical inventories of all stored parts, equipment and supplies.
12. Generates reports and updates Management Information System for Aviation on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments as well as guaranteeing proper control of newly received equipment or special tool by assigning and attaching identification tags or markings.
13. Tracks all assigned inventory, equipment and tools in Management Information System for Aviation, depicting applicable information and location pertaining to each item listed.
14. All other duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read and understand general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Software: Maintenance Information System (Aviation), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Internet software, e-mail, Management Information System for Aviation inventory software.
Must obtain and maintain a SECRET government security clearance.
Must be able to deploy as required.
Must maintain medical clearance to deploy.
Must maintain a current passport.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT USED:

Safety equipment required to be used in conjunction with maintenance stands, towing of airplanes, driving equipment around airplanes, and use of tooling in back shops, in and around airplanes. Will be required to wear safety equipment such as hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Drug Screen.
Background Check.
Required to obtain a Secret government clearance.
Maintain medical clearance to deploy.
Current passport.
Travel and / or deployment is required with relatively short notice.
