Senior Electrical Engineer at Ultra Global Business Services in Victor, New York

Job Description:

Ultra Sonobuoy Systems is seeking to onboard a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Victor, NY site. Ultra Sonobuoy Systems develops mission critical technologies for government and commercial naval customers.

This role will focus heavily on the design of legacy and new development technologies for our customers.

Job Description:

• Design and development of digital, analog, and RF circuits


• Test and debug of prototype circuit boards and systems


• Produce technical documentation (ie. requirements, procurement, testing)


• Provide technical engineering input


• Provide support for junior engineers

Required Skills:

• BS in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology with significant H/W design experience


• 5+ years of engineering design experience


• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. Security clearances are granted to U.S. citizens.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of digital circuit design techniques and tools


• Knowledge of analog circuit design techniques and tools


• Knowledge of RF circuit design techniques and tools


• Experience with directing circuit board layout with a PCB designer


• Understanding of circuit analysis tools, such as Pspice, or RF CAE tools


• Working in a team environment with H/W and S/W engineers


• Prior experience analyzing and debugging complex systems using test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers)


• Familiarity with writing scripts (Python, DOS, etc)


• Excellent communication skills


• Experience with industry communication protocols
