Job Description



Serve as finance business partner to VP, Sales/Business Development; and entire Business Development Team. Lead finance support to the New Business Capture team, providing finance input to new business proposals and leading an improvement in the effectiveness of key processes to drive new business opportunities. Own CAPA package development, ensuring compliance with Government accounting standards and managing relationship with Government auditors. Provide analysis to support and monitor pricing targets.







Duties & Responsibilities




  • Provide commercial and financial input into RFQs covering bid details, costing & contract terms

  • Assist proposal team in development of win strategy, value propositions, price to win and risk/opportunity assessment

  • Identify & drive improvements in the new proposal process

  • Apply business acumen to help find creative winning solutions while protecting bottom line

  • Examine and interrogate bid from a cross functional prospective, working closely with team to ensure alignment in the proposal package

  • Provide review & challenge to all aspects of bid - responsible for finance functional approval on all bids

  • Present financials of proposal package to Leadership Team

  • Develop and maintain accurate business case and proposal cost models

  • Manage the CAPA package development & provide support for negotiations - provide approval for CAPA/TINA requirements

  • Work with Government auditors (DCAA & DCMA) to support audit reviews and establish forward pricing rate agreements where relevant

  • Work with Operations & Engineering FBPs to develop rate structure which ensures competitiveness & profitability

  • Support the execution of the pricing strategy, with analysis to evaluate pricing opportunities to drive opportunities to further enhance our pricing benefit and providing effective review to set & report against targets

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience: Minimum 5 years of business experience in a manufacturing environment


Education: Accounting/Finance degree required from an accredited College or University
