As the Senior Operations Manager, you will travel throughout the US to support implementations for aerospace and automotive customers. Become a part of our rapidly growing dynamic team and we'll help you develop your career to a level that will exceed your expectations.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support startups and new operations throughout the US


• Conceptualize a future state in relatable terms to site operations teams and executive leaders


• Train new team members and support to ensure effective and smooth operations during the first few months of new site operations


• Serve as a culture change agent for the use of standard work


• Serve as a development and educational resource for team members


• Frequently interact with and build strong, trusting relationships with internal and external customers


• Report site deployment and project execution progress using standard reporting templates


• Travel when needed to existing sites to temporarily run a site or manage a shift

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 5 years of relevant work experience


• Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment


• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It'd be great if you also have:

• Experience with warehouse automation, standing up new sites, and various Warehouse Management Systems


• 5 years of leadership experience in a distribution environment


• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time


• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment


• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience


• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)


• Experience in an aerospace or automotive distribution or manufacturing environment


• Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights


• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time


• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel


• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
