The Technician will set up, modify, maintain and improve equipment to produce quality product, safely. In addition, technician will be working closely with production leaders to provide support on all equipment to perform in a very efficient manner to achieve customer demands. Technician will also requires to maintained facility functions. This position is seeking a highly self-motivated individual that can work independently, well with others, complete assigned task on a timely manner and provide clear communication.   

Key Responsibility


  • Focus on equipment performance to optimize safety, efficiency, and quality.

  • Develop procedures to improve equipment throughput and quality.

  • Maintain a clean work environment. Keep tools and equipment in a clean and functional manner.

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance – Weekly and Monthly

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment with a focus on identifying the root cause of failure, and implementing permanent solutions to ongoing equipment problems.

  • Collaborate with engineering team and shop technician when required.

  • Contribute to inventory control. Be aware of maintenance supply locations. Sign out parts when removed from inventory.

  • Data recording – Maintain maintenance logs accurately and neatly.

  • Make all necessary adjustments to equipment to ensure quality product.

  • Look for methods to keep repair costs down, and relationships with vendors positive.

  • Work within ISO 9001 and 14001 framework.

  • Attends company function/meetings and adhere to company policy.

  • Follow written work instruction.

  • Work as a team to accomplish company goals.

  • Additional duties as require for Technician specified by your supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience


  • High school diploma or GED Equivalent.

  • 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Mechanical    

  • 2 years of experience with Robotics, Automation equipment.

  • 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and problem solving on technician equipment

  • Understanding and ability to troubleshoot and repair the following types of systems:

  • Electrical: Low and high voltage devices, Control circuits, Sensors and PLC Circuits

  • Pneumatics: Cylinders, Actuators, Valves and Reservoirs

  • Mechanical: Conveyors and linear motion systems, Rotary devices and Precision tooling

  • Motors: Induction motors, Servo motors and drives, Stepper motors and drives, and Linear motors

  • Hydraulics: Pumps, Cylinders, and Electrically controlled systems

  • Robotics (basic understanding)

  • Shop Equipment: Manual mill and lathe, Band saw, Drill Press, Sander and Power hand tools.

  • Communication Skills: Work with team members, engineering group, shop technician, and OEM/vendors to solve problems.

  • Self-Motivated: Able to work unsupervised and perform work in a timely, professional manner, prioritize repairs with supervisors and follow direction and utilize chain of command

  • Detail oriented: take the extra time to do it right

Preferred Qualifications


  • Associates degree, preferred in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.

  • Willing to work any shift including weekend. Be flexible with hours of work

Physical Demands


  • Standing for long periods of time

  • Lifting up to 40 pounds on a regular basis using a pushing and pulling motion on an intermittent basis
