The Software Development Engineer in Test works with product analysts, and software engineers to understand features and technical implementations. Has knowledge of software engineering practices including continuous integration, configuration management, build optimization, build automation, and deployment. The candidate drives software architecture to be focused on test automation and is familiar with multiple test automation frameworks.

**Open for Remote Candidates(West Coast Time zone preferred).

Essential Functions

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.


• Strong capabilities in API testing and data validation.


• Experience with querying databases to evaluate the data behind the API for accuracy


• Design and develop test cases for UI and APIs for functional, regression, smoke, and integration tests.


• Design and implement test plans and test strategies to achieve CI/CD.


• Build automation scripts for frontend and backend testing.


• Experience in communicating with users, technical teams and management to collect requirements, describe software features and product strategy.


• Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products or software


• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

• Experience with running and developing automated test scripts using 3rd party testing tools.


• Experience developing automation code in Selenium/Webdriver or other automation tools

• Fluency in at least one programming or scripting language: Javascript/Typescript, Python, C#, etc.

• Working Knowledge of quality assurance and acceptance testing methodologies and/or training.


• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.


• Apply strong knowledge of testing methodologies such as black box, white box, smoke, and unit testing.


• Measure the test effectiveness utilizing metrics, monitor the progress, and report the results of both automated and manual test efforts by fostering transparency and accountability.


• Experience testing APIs with SOAP/REST tools (ex. Postman, RESTclient, etc.)


• Capacity to learn new skills quickly and adopt effective testing methodologies.


• Solid knowledge of SQL and running SQL Queries


• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Preferred Skills

• Experience in CI/CD (ex. Jenkins)


• API performance testing


• Experience testing in AWS cloud environment is a plus.

Typical Education

• Bachelor's degree in an IT or equivalent work experience

Typical Range of Experience

• 5+ years of directly related experience
