The Driver is responsible for transporting fuels to various customer sites, loading and unloading bulk fuels, and completing assigned paperwork. The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company and safety policies, procedures and practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform pre-trip inspection based on the DOT regulations, and report to the garage any malfunctions detected
Ensure that all equipment required for the day's deliveries, ie; all work is on the truck/trailer, all paperwork and documents needed are included.
Load truck/trailer using proper loading cards and/or number system and will load proper gallons and product given to him/her from dispatch (if loading from another truck will follow all procedures for this accurately)
Follow safe driving practices in accordance with all traffic rules and regulations
When arriving at an assigned stop, driver shall stick the tank for water and document such on the delivery ticket to ensure that the product will fit into the tank without spillage.
Driver shall make sure that he/she is delivering the same product that is currently in the tank, and fill to the 90% requirement
Provide excellent customer service at all stops
Must spot check during the course of each shift, inspecting truck and trailer for any malfunctions or issues
Perform post check inspections at end of each shift, completely inspecting the truck and report any issues to the Fleet Manager
Complete all required paperwork and submit it at end of each shift
Communicate with dispatch and Safety throughout the day in regards to work loads and any issues that occur with the truck or deliveries
Experience/Education Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Able to work in a team environment
2+ years applicable driving experience
Must possess CDL class A or B, and proper certifications
Must possess TWIC, HAZMAT and tanker endorsements and registration in the FMCSA clearinghouse is required
Must have a clean and safe driving record
Must have valid DOT physical card
Physical Requirements and responsibilities
Able to lift 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50lbs frequently
Able to bend, stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, push, pull
Able to continuously drive for long hours during day and night
Able to read, write and use cell phone, tablet, and computer to perform required job duties
Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment This position is exposed to outside elements on a continuous basis and requires being on your feet for long periods at a time.
