RET Physical Therapy & Healthcare Specialists is looking for an Athletic Trainer to support the prestigious Annie Wright Schools in beautiful North Tacoma with a wonderful water view. The Annie Wright Schools is located at 827 North Tacoma Avenue.
This is a part time job for afternoons. $30 per hour.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works within the scope and practice of a Certified Athletic Trainer including, but not limited to, working in training room treating injuries and developing preventative programs to minimize sports-related injuries and issues; handle emergency management of student-athlete injuries.
Create and manage appropriate coverage calendar for athletic events.
Initiate and sustain communications between injured student-athlete’s family and coaches as appropriate.
Ongoing engagement and meetings with Sports Medicine Director, Clinic Director, and attendance to in-clinic staff meetings.
Facilitate physicals with clinic director at contracted sites (when applicable).
Additional duties may include clinic marketing/promotion.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with current, good-standing certification by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)/Washington Athletic Trainer license.
Display high level of professionalism, enthusiasm, creativity, and flexibility.
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication with the ability to relate to and work with various ages, social and ethnic backgrounds.
