Deal Desk Facilitator II will strategically partner with our Sales organization, offering guidance to drive execution of complex deals, leveraging CPQ tools, drafting contracts, facilitating contract reviews, as well as managing and optimizing the overall quote-to-cash processes, while adhering to internal policies and practices.

This position works collaboratively with Sales and internal organizations such as Product, Deal Management, Delivery, Solution Architects, Global Operations, Legal, Finance, Support, and Back Office to ensure deals are executed with speed and accuracy.

The Deal Desk Facilitator II is expected to be the SME in order processing to optimize our quote-to-cash processes and tools, providing a sound overall QTC experience.

This role will keep pace with business dynamics by engaging in regular active learning to develop a strong understanding of D&B products, services, and customer use cases.

Essential Key Responsibilities/Job Summary

  • Serves as the point of contact and subject matter expert on deal constructs, operational procedures, approval policies, and troubleshooting of deal issues.
  • Captures deal requirements and any supporting documentation or rationale. Advises the team on alternatives to increase order processing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Works with Product, Deal Management, and Solution Architects, among others, to translate requirements into an accurate configuration within D&B's ordering systems and pricing tools.
  • Serves as Project Manager ensuring timely delivery of compliant and accurate contracts that adhere to internal procedures, policies, and controls.
  • Develops an action plan with clear ownership and communicates a running status.
  • Takes preventative measures to avoid process gaps.
  • Responsible for optimizing the end-to-end QTC process flows.
  • Customizes templated contracts and facilitates cross-functional reviews of non-standard terms with key players.
  • Partners closely with Finance and Legal to review or address revenue recognition and legal concerns for non-standard deal structures. Secures all approvals and documentation with the order.
  • Troubleshoots deal issues. Follows up on Delivery/Finance questions during revenue close periods.
  • Understands business impact to Back Office and strives for streamlined and automated process flows in the deal construct. Where a manual or custom flow cannot be avoided, obtains approval from, and ensures alignment with, the impacted Back Office team.
  • Ensures accountability and responsibility for all manual steps.
  • Maintains historical guide and documentation on customer accounts to improve speed and accuracy of deal execution as well as provide a sound overall QTC experience.
  • Ensures adherence to all internal sales policies, processes, and controls.
  • Keeps pace with business dynamics by engaging in regular active learning through discussions, problem-solving, D&B product research, and D&B learning modules with the outcome of improving individual and team understanding of D&B tools, processes, products, services, policies & guidelines, as well as, customer use cases.
  • Actively identifies process improvements, disseminates best-demonstrated practices, and raises up system bugs.
  • 5-8 years' experience in Sales or QTC Operations or Support role
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong skills in project management, problem-solving, communications and relationship management
  • Highly organized, customer-focused, analytical with strong attention to details
  • Proven ability to own and run complex deals end-to-end
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with prior experience with complex, cross-functional deal execution across Sales, Deal Management/Pricing, Delivery, Legal, and Finance
  • Positive team player, effective communicator, and the ability to influence and drive decisions across all levels of the organization
  • Broad D&B product and operational knowledge is required
  • Experience with Salesforce's quote-to-cash tool, Order Automation and Apttus is a plus
