Pentair currently has an opening for a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd, and 3rd shift to join our team at our Delavan, WI location. In this role the Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of maintenance, repairs, fabricating, and welding to machines and equipment to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Maintenance: 10+ years (Preferred).

  • Mechanical Knowledge: 5 years (Preferred).

  • Night Shift (Preferred).

  • Day Shift (Preferred).

  • Overnight Shift (Preferred).

  • Stationary Engineer's License (Preferred).

  • EPA Universal Certification (Preferred).

  • EPA Refrigerant Certification (Preferred).

You will:

  • Conduct yourself with a "safety first" mentality and follow all applicable policies and procedures related to the proper use of PPE, LOTO, forklift and high work operations, as well as when working around hazards associated with arc flash and confined spaces. You will make regular contributions to the safety culture of the plant by habitually identifying unsafe conditions within the plant and taking appropriate corrective measures.

  • Develop and execute Machine Preventative Maintenance Schedules including predictive maintenance on all types of CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, and Testing.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC problems on machinery and equipment to determine the extent and method of repairs and/or replacement of worn or defective parts.

  • Establish and document a troubleshooting process based on findings.

  • Perform a wide variety of repairs and/or fabrications on various machines and production equipment such as CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, and Testing.

  • Determine root cause of maintenance issues. Suggest, execute and document necessary improvements. Root Cause Analysis training is a plus. Work from prints, schematics, drawings, and sketches. Including electrical, hydraulic, air, plumbing, and structural.

  • Work with CMMS system to manage Maintenance work order requests, PM's and order replacement parts and materials to maintain inventories.

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Maintenance Manager on various maintenance-related issues and productivity improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Equipment Used:

  • Diagnostic equipment.

  • Forklift/Various lifts.

  • Overhead hoist.

  • Grinders.

  • Lathe/Drill Press.

  • Precision measuring equipment.

  • Electrical testing equipment.

  • Various cutting torches.

  • Welding equipment.

  • Saws/Shears.


You should:

  • Be able to work overtime including Saturdays.

  • Be able to work from verbal instructions, written work instructions, and quality plans with minimal supervision.

  • Follow company safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Be able to work in a team environment.

  • Willingness to attain forklift/power equipment certifications.

  • Hold a valid driver's license.

  • Verify performance of repairs made.

  • Have mechanical, electrical (D/C), and hydraulic equipment Maintenance experience (preferred).
