Purpose Statement: The Aftermarket Service Team Lead is responsible for managing the daily business and department needs. Supervising the Service Leads and/or associates with an emphasis on product quality, on time delivery, and factory production efficiency. The Aftermarket Service Team Lead is responsible to support the key business metrics, general housekeeping, and workplace safety.

Key Job Accountabilities:


  • Provide effective communication between all shift team members in order to effectively communicate concerns regarding production.

  • Provide assignments based on daily department needs ensuring quality products are produced and production goals are met.

  • Conduct human resource activities which may include approving time off, conducting performance appraisals, coaching and disciplinary actions.

  • Provide mentoring, leadership and direction for the leads oversees.

  • Ensure effective communication between shifts for the team that is overseeing such as schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns and follow the proper escalation process when necessary.

  • Ensure individuals are trained to the appropriate assembly build instructions and ensures personnel are compliant with all applicable SFT training requirements.



Additional Accountabilities:


  • Communicate and assist in the resolution of part shortages or the expedition of product.

  • Evaluate, monitor, and react to personnel allocation according to needs.

  • Supports resolution of department issues and escalates as required for immediate action.

  • Support continuous improvement activities while providing input for improvements.

  • Coordinate employees cross training.

  • Supervise group leads.

  • Support the business goals and metrics.

  • Perform annual performance reviews, assure adequate staffing for his team and provide appropriate training to support expected job performance.

  • Additional duties as assigned.



Education/Experience Qualifications:


  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is preferred; a HS diploma or equivalent is required

  • One (1) year of related experience is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience is preferred.

  • Supervisory experience of one (1) years is required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.


Other Qualifications:


  • Decision making and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.

  • Employee must possess good written and oral communication, organizational and troubleshooting skills.

  • Employee must work safely at all times and maintain the confidentiality of all customer and company information.

  • Must have computer experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.

  • General office equipment and materials.

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
