Has primary responsibility for LANXESS/RC14001 compliance elements of Training, Contractor Safety, Critical Work Permits, Employee Participation, Process Hazard Analysis, Incident Investigation, Emergency Planning and Response, and Risk Management Program.
Has support responsibility for LANXESS/RC14001 compliance elements Management of Change (Hazard Reviews & Pre-startup Safety Reviews) and Compliance Audits.
Develop, implement, and maintain all site-specific policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable HSSEQ regulations/standards. Responsible for ensuring that the relevant procedures are appropriately reviewed and remain current.
Ensure that facility personnel are adequately and appropriately trained to perform their duties. Serve as Training Coordinator for the site including maintenance of all training records
Maintain the Hazard Communication Plan including SDS records and proper labeling
Coordinate all industrial hygiene activities such as employee monitoring, hearing protection, respirator program, etc.
Develop and maintain PPE matrix and coordinate supply of appropriate PPE for employees
Leads or contributes to root cause analyses and investigation of all incidents and near misses. Responsible for ensuring that incidents and near misses are appropriately reported and provides tools to increase knowledge/improve responses.
Lead Emergency Release Team during a response to the release of hazardous materials.rforms routine audits and inspections, e.g. review work permits, and proactively supports the resolution of issues found
