Job Summary

We are looking for someone with a positive, “can-do” attitude to join our Global Trade team as a Logistics & Trade Compliance Manger. Will be responsible for providing operational expertise to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the department by establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships, liaising with operations, customers and carriers in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to deliver maximum advantage to the business. Also responsible for ensuring legal compliance within government rules and regulations.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:


  • Responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of Import/Export regulations and Administration regulations

  • Develops and maintains policy and procedures to ensure Custom regulations compliance is adhered to

  • Responsible for day to day activity of the personnel assigned to Import/Export activities

  • Ensure proper Import/Export documentation and procedures are maintained in accordance with Customs standards and requirements

  • Advise company on Customs requirements and informs other departments of any issues that may arise affecting their operation

  • Recommends corrective action required to ensure all Import/Export transactions adhere to Custom compliance

  • Ensures and prepares documentation required by Customs to import/export commodities

  • May international and domestic rate quotes per request by site management

  • May prepare rate comparisons between carriers

  • Track international shipments and may track domestic shipments

  • Provide POD’s for shipments

  • May research freight issues

  • Audit special need deliveries to identify issues and concerns

  • File or assist with filing of freight claims for international and domestic shipments

  • May maintain and update carrier routing guide

  • May train various site departments on usage of carrier routing guide

  • Arrange expedited shipments by request to meet customer needs

  • May coordinate international truck load shipments

  • May audit domestic and international inbound carrier freight invoices

  • May address issues regarding freight invoices with carrier and payment company

  • May identify ways for freight and cost savings

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):


  • 5+ experience in Program/Project Management in a Manufacturing company

  • Financial experience managing KPI’s and P&L, cost analysis and quotation.

  • Experience in server manufacturing and rack integration

  • Effective communication, negotiation and leadership skills (managing direct reports)

  • Strong customer facing experience.

  • Experience creating project schedules.

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to conduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate HTS and ECCN Classification, by using various trade tools such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and Export Regs & other Classification Tools.

  • Successful applicant must be eligible for access to material subject to US Export Control restrictions.

  • Must have experience and a desire to work collaboratively with all Team Members

  • Must have an interest and desire to work cross-culturally in multiple settings

  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with a sense of urgency
