Large Product Fulfillment Analyst-Vendor Support at Best Buy in Richfield, Minnesota

Job Description:

This analyst plays a critical role in the Enterprise by putting a Vendor lens on customer orders and providing solutions specific to inventory management and reporting as product moves from the vendor to the final mile. You will collaboratively drive the associated inventory strategy, guidelines and best practices while applying your working knowledge of and ability to identify applicable trends. This analyst requires continual learning and fine-tuning while leveraging the systems for trends as well as in-depth product knowledge of the vendor assortment. You will be responsible for analyzing the Brand/inventory performance and for identifying opportunities for improvement. You will partner with Vendors and internal partners to drive a best-in-class customer experience and increase Best Buy’s market share.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Monitoring of Customer Orders


  • Responsible for accurate and timely entry of updates from Vendor supplied product data within inventory systems (Commerce Hub)

  • Tracking purchase orders that tie back directly to customer orders

  • Work cross-functional will key partners to ensure product is received, processed, and delivered on time

  • In-depth knowledge of the assortment by the supporting vendor

  • Proactively identify substitutions to recommend replacements when items become unavailable and end of life

  • Be a resource for the Customer Advocate and Large Product Fulfillment Resolution Team

Ongoing Category Support

  • Identifies and initiates request for change/addition to reporting, KPI’s and work with the appropriate teams to request all system or reporting changes

  • Determine best practices in the timing of waiting for a purchase order to land or substitute at an order level and partnering with the needed cross-functional partners

  • Configure your own package analysis and recommendations to the current package strategy

Business Strategy and Acumen

  • Responsible for keeping the Brand and Category updated with latest information and best practices

  • Accountable for understanding and implementing the Enterprise fulfillment strategy to support strategic growth

  • Track, analyze and develop regular reports to analyze performance, insights and arrive at recommendations to improve order completion and grow incremental revenue

  • Measured against the perfect order, data quality, proactive purchase order management, and other KPIs

  • Develop holistic knowledge and expertise of systems and tools to delivery an optimal customer experience

Communication and Collaboration

  • Collaborates with various cross-functional business partners and Vendor teams to manage the product data and assortment for optimal performance

  • Cultivate and maintain strong Vendor and cross-functional partner relationships as the primary point of contact for issues pertaining to product presentation and category specific brand performance

  • Responsible for escalating any issues or non-compliance through the appropriate channels

  • Maximize performance through the facilitation of effective partnerships and collaboration among peers and cross-functional teams

  • Facilitate new team member onboarding and training

  • Project Involvement/Participant/SME

Demonstrated understanding of business concepts
Self-starter, proactive, and creative thinker
Ability to work effectively and accurately while adapting to changing priorities across multiple deadlines
Proven technical aptitude
Experience in executing and analyzing inventory
Detail oriented with excellent organization, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills

Requirements:


  • 2 or more years of experience in e-commerce, retail, merchandising, demand planning or related business

  • 2 or more years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tell a story and make a recommendation

  • 2 or more years of experience working cross-functionally

  • 2 or more years of advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, and Power Point.

  • 2 or more years of experience utilizing data management systems

Preferred:

  • 4 or more years of experience in e-commerce, retail, merchandising, demand planning

  • 4 or more years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tell a story and make a recommendation

  • Advanced degree in Business or related field
