Job Description:

Brad Foote Gearing, a division of Broadwind, is seeking an ID/OD Grinding Machinist to join our team in Cicero, IL. This is a second shift position, Monday - Friday, with overtime as necessary. Come join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Set up and operates external grinders, internal grinders and surface grinders
Grind surfaces of metal parts to a smooth and even finish and from blueprints, sketches, route sheets and verbal orders
Check the route sheet, and blueprint for the operation and instructions
Check the piece part for grinding stock
Install the part into the machine and true up to within .0005" maximum T.I.R, use proof spot when provided
Grind per the Route Sheet and the blueprint
Check the size and, if it is correct, remove the piece part from the machine
Follow bar-coding procedures per SOP
Program machine
Perform setups requiring programming, indication and blocking
Provide necessary hand tools and measuring instruments and uses company-provided gauging
All other duties as assigned
