As a Marketing Manager for the Process Solutions business in McKinney, TX or Stafford, TX, you will work with key stakeholders, globally, to support strategies aimed at driving growth, strengthening our market position, and enhancing brand perception in our target industries. You will conduct thorough market research, business and product development programs, pricing strategies, and portfolio management and will help drive key initiatives that support the overall business goal of improving our financial performance.

As a Marketing Manager, you will:


  • Research, monitor, and communicate market dynamics such as segment growth, new opportunities, and trends in economies, technology, and competitive positioning

  • Analyze and prioritize opportunities based on market potential, customer feedback and return on investment.

  • Evaluate markets and business development opportunities outside current areas of engagement based on unmet customer needs, characterization of market segments, and solution offerings.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Communications team, generating application collateral to help the sales channel effectively communicate our value proposition.

  • Generate and implement specific, targeted, and measurable growth plans for products and service solutions.

  • Provide direction in optimizing go-to-market strategies and the associated messaging for specific segments and regions.

  • Work with Product Managers to track product performance and continuously evaluate our portfolio for growth and margin improvement opportunities. Support evaluation of product lines for expansion, consolidation, or obsolescence opportunities.

  • Audit / identify product gaps and white space opportunities, proposing product development or R&D initiatives through compelling business cases.

  • Work cross-functionally and across businesses, evaluating and prioritizing new product and custom solution opportunities that derive relevant and differentiated value propositions.

  • Generate and provide application/product training tools/materials to customer-facing personnel, ensuring necessary levels of expertise are maintained and current. Continuously build the sales collateral database.

  • Generate and maintain processes to share successes across all world areas; coordinating campaigns and programs to leverage wins.

  • Develop pricing strategy and activities, capturing increased price every year.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or similar) or Marketing.

  • 5+ years of progressive sales/marketing experience, strategic planning, or leadership experience.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.

  • Solid organizational, project management, written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to business problems.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Advanced degree in Marketing or Business.

  • Experience in fluid handling equipment (pressure regulators/valves/pumps).

  • Experience working with industrial products or in process industries.

  • Experience in business development and B2B marketing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and influence within a global, multicultural environment preferred.

  • Prior Emerson experience.
