Dewberry is currently seeking a Site Civil Project Manager in support of several large, mixed-use projects. The position will be located in Dewberry's Lanham, MD office. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and qualified individual with a proven track record of design and construction experience in a variety of private and public land development and capital improvement projects in the Washington DC Metro area. Individual will be responsible for leading the office utility team in all aspects of utility design for residential, commercial and industrial site development and capital improvement projects including water and sanitary sewer design as well as dry utility design.

Responsibilities

Perform project design duties in coordination with a team of support staff to develop detailed engineering documents for construction projects.
• Providing additional detailed engineering and construction experience related to water and sanitary sewer and dry utility design, and by adding project management depth.


• Deliver projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget.


• Coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits.


• Manage design for multiple projects, assist department manager with marketing and proposal efforts and project management duties as well as oversee, train and mentor junior/mid-level staff.


• Work closely with clients and agency staff, including attendance at public and/or construction meetings and also represent the company at other events as needed.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Engineering Degree


• PE in the State of Maryland required.


• 5+ years of experience directly related to design and construction of land development projects in Prince George's County and the Washington DC Metro area.


• Strong computer skills utilizing AutoCAD LDD, ProjectDox, WSSC ePermitting, eBuilder as well as basic office software is required.


• Must be experienced in technical design and theory for support of department manager and office manager in planning and design of complex projects.


• Must have intimate knowledge of local regulatory requirements, including WSSC, and be able to review, sign and seal construction drawings.


• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
