Job Description:

Student Learner Apprenticeship



Our Student Learner Apprenticeships are based in the Plymouth, MN Technology Center. Students will be shadowing, training, and working with current employees in support of daily development activities for Daikin Applied Terminal and Air Handling products. Experiences will cover a broad spectrum of technical areas. Students will have an opportunity to:



  • Develop an understanding of industry standards covering method of testing and compliance (AHRI and ASHRAE)

  • Learn and apply CAD and 3D modeling software to design parts and assemblies.

  • Gainexperience with lab grade instrumentation, measurement application techniques, and calibration practices.

  • Exposure to engineering processes and development tools

  • Build,operate, and test advanced next generation equipment prototypes

  • Exposure to fundamental HVAC skills (brazing, reading schematics, troubleshooting, refrigerant handling, etc).


Timeline


This apprenticeship opportunity begins in Fall 2021 and continues for the school year.



Basic Qualifications



  • Enrolled in a GPS course at a participating high school.
