Job Description

The Director of Nursing is responsible for all aspects of Nursing and staff within the Inpatient Medical and Surgical units 24/7 operations. Assist in developing monitoring and evaluating standards for nursing practice. Ensure all aspects of nursing care comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. Demonstrate leadership qualities through relationship building, effective communication, knowledge of health care environment, professionalism and business, and sound fiscal decisions.

Minimum Requirements


  • Baccalaureate in Nursing or a Graduate degree in Nursing


  • Maintain current Missouri license as a professional nurse (RN).


  • Seven years RN experience.


  • Five years progressive leadership experience.


  • Ability to analyze information, formulate and implement effective plans for using information.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree preferred.


  • Certification in specialty.
