The Sales Assistant for Meredith Agrimedia is responsible for supporting a high-performing sales team of advertising sales professional in a fast-paced work environment. It requires detailed organizational duties and structure for maintaining revenue-focused efforts at Successful Farming and Agriculture.com.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a high level of initiative with experience in supporting a sales organization. Must be able to prioritize and work effectively and efficiently under multiple and often conflicting timelines. Must be able to multi-task and work under strict deadlines. The position requires someone who is proactive and able to anticipate required action, when needed, for successful resolutions.
The role is critical for workflow with the sales team in responding to RFPs from agencies and clients. This position also is the day-to-day contact for advertising traffic for our broadcast TV and radio programs. This role is a single point of failure for ongoing digital advertising programs and workflow within the digital portion of the department including but not limited to email campaigns. The creation of sales and marketing materials, arranging and facilitating large customer mailings, generating reports on advertising performance, general office management and administrative work, and customer meeting support.

Education:
High School diploma, some college preferred or equivalent training and/or experience. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Agricultural Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, Ag Business or related field would be advantageous.

Strong computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are helpful. Additional knowledge of software and platforms like Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox, InDesign, Photoshop, and Salesforce is a plus. Ability to learn online reporting and management tool software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Prior successful experience supporting a fast-paced business team, preferably in the sales, agriculture, media or marketing industry. Internships in public relations or marketing are a plus.
