Job Overview
Ascend Learning is seeking an experienced Marketing and Business Data Analyst to help lead performance marketing efforts for the Healthcare division
This person will be accountable to:
Define and shape the definitive set of marketing KPI’s and insights that will create the data driven truth and goals for our growing set of businesses
Be a partner for all business marketing leads in analyzing business performance and opportunities overall and at the campaign, channel, and initiative level
Work with a cross-functional team to create standard reporting that reflects the single source of truth for marketing performance
Responsibilities
Data analysis and development of reporting methods using Tableau, Oracle, SQL, Excel, and Web Analytics for Finance and Marketing,
Help create data standards for enterprise marketing initiatives
Help establish performance goals and track marketing KPI progress
Design develop and maintain access queries, databases and excel spreadsheets to develop statistical reports for all marketing channel performance
Tracking
Analyze website and clickstream data to identify user trends and to measure the value of new site features and functionality based on site conversion and other KPI’s and provide recommendations for change
Continue collecting and analyzing monthly data in order to be able to develop a more in-depth forecasting model
Reporting
Develop on-going ad hoc reports and provided data analysis in response to requests from marketing, senior management and other functional areas to make critical business decisions based on the clickstream data obtained from our web analytics data set
Develop Reports for Marketing Team - Coordinated reporting between the sales and marketing organization, ensuring consistency and accuracy
Research, analyze and manage the needs of stakeholders, while capturing business requirements to establish business goals and determine implementation strategies with the process owners
Analysis
Perform ad hoc analysis on traffic, conversion rates, pricing, campaign performance, and other relevant data to identify upside opportunities and to diagnose drivers of volume strength and/or weakness
Help design learning agenda and plan via tactics that include: A/B Testing; Sampling; Data sourcing; Partnerships
Required Education & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analytics or business intelligence, ideally with experience analyzing marketing effectiveness and contributing to the optimization of marketing campaigns and initiatives
Working knowledge of BI and data warehouse concepts and terminology
Experience building complex reports in Tableau or similar platforms
Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science or related field
Master’s degree preferred
