Our Role:

The Fund Operations team is a unit within PGIM Private Capital responsible for the financial oversight and reporting of multiple credit fund strategies and their limited partnerships. Currently, the team is responsible for five mezzanine funds, one mezzanine energy fund and one Direct Lending fund (and associated separate accounts). The limited partners within these funds include subsidiaries of Prudential Financial Inc. along with unaffiliated U.S. and non-U.S. institutional investors including public and private pension funds, other insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and family offices.

The team is seeking a Treasury Director.  This position will be the first hire focused solely on the Treasury function and will serve a critical role as part of a global, collaborative, and dynamic team. This position is in Chicago and will report to the team’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  Minimal travel will be required.

Your Impact:


  • Lead all day-to-day aspects of the fund debt facilities (subscription lines and asset-backed / leverage lines)

  • Prepare, maintain, and submit all schedules / reports required under credit agreements

  • Monitor compliance to debt covenants / restrictions / thresholds

  • Manage treasury communications with the Investment, broader Operations and Trade Management teams

  • Coordinate foreign currency hedging transactions and reconcile transactions and outstanding forward contracts with hedge counterparties 

  • Assist with rating agency review and monitoring process through direct interactions with multiple rating agencies

  • Manage bank account opening process, including KYC requirements

  • Review and understand how the changing needs of the business and future growth will impact the Treasury function with respect to people, processes, and technology

  • Communicate treasury activities effectively with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Assist the Fund Operations team in periods of peak demand

Your Required Skills:


  • Must have 10+ years of experience in a Treasury role either with a private debt or equity firm or within underwriting fund debt facilities at a bank

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required. 

  • Ability to convey sense of urgency and to work productively with both internal and external business partners (Prudential Enterprise, investment professionals, banking partners, etc.)

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust priorities as needed

  • Superior analytical skills, accuracy and careful attention to detail are essential

  • High-energy person who brings positivity, geniality, and optimism to work

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving experience required
