Job Description:

Unifi, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the position of Electrical Technician 2 at our manufacturing facility located in Madison, North Carolina.

 

A two year Electrical degree is preferred, or significant comparable experience is required. Industrial experience is a plus, along with the ability to troubleshoot and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on various machines and equipment.

The Electrical Technician 2 is responsible for troubleshooting, performing diagnostics, and implementing repair solutions to electrical systems in a high-tech textile manufacturing operation. This is an hourly-paid position that will work Monday thru Friday (1st shift), with overtime and on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities include:

• Working safely at all times. Must be experienced in Electrical Safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team using good judgement.


• Perform electrical analysis and repair on AC/DC circuits and inverters.


• Troubleshoot, program and repair PLC’s.


• Troubleshoot electrical issues involving electronics and power sources.


• Repair Connections, Motors, Breakers, Junction boxes and Switches.


• Calibrate equipment and assist with equipment setup and changes as instructed.


• Perform special projects as requested..


• Excellent work record.


• High school diploma or GED required.


• Additional on site testing required.


• Good communication skills.


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed.


• Good mechanical skills are required.


• Computer skills preferred.


• A two-year degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or equivalent is preferred, or significant comparable experience is required.
