We are seeking a Ambulatory Access Education Specialist to:
- Develop and maintain scheduler training program to include curriculum, courses, materials, onboarding checklists, etc. related to scheduling, and design process to deliver this training to new and/or current team members.
- Participate in process improvement projects, weighing in on best practice for scheduler workflows and assisting in training and change management efforts.
- Perform continual assessment of workflow execution and quality assurance outcomes to enhance and supplement training programs offerings and content.
- Train large groups of new or current team members on workflows and best practices.
Education:
Minimum – College level coursework (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of).
Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or
related field strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum – Two (2) to four (4) years of progressive patient scheduling, registration, or contact center experience.
Preferred –
- Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience teaching adult learners.
- Experience with eLearning software such as Captivate.
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred – Certification or Proficiency in Epic Cadence or Prelude. Proficiency in Epic ARCR for scheduling.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Proven/demonstrated skills in patient scheduling and/or registration software.
- Extensive knowledge of scheduling and/or registration workflows.
- Extensive experience in telephone service.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to exercise good judgment.
- Knowledge of effective teaching techniques for adult learners.
- Experience creating e-Learning, classroom learning, and other teaching materials.
- Familiarity with and ability to use AV equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
