The Sr. PD Project Management Specialist reports into a PMO within the Product Development org. The Specialist enables execution of cross-functional product development projects by partnering with team members in project planning, execution, and monitoring. Leads and supports PMO oversight of various projects including implementing product compliance improvements, executing projects related to released product to assist with reducing product costs and improving customer satisfaction as well as engaging in new product development initiatives.

Day in the life:

The Sr. Project Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall PMO and processes as well as individually leading execution of projects for the maintenance of cutting edge products used in the medical field. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Leads and supports cross functional teams to execute small to medium scale projects focused on ongoing lifecycle management of products.
• Responsible for project planning and execution to ensure timely completion of tasks, in compliance to the Product Development Process and overall Quality Management System.
• Interfaces with all functional areas affected by the project including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and as needed end users, distributors, and suppliers.
• Manages and reports on project status and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports (written and verbal) for PMO, Site Leadership and Executive Management updates.
• Communicates and engages with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project in alignment with all stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Monitors the effectiveness and performance of the project and project team and facilitates the development of contingency plans and proposes corrective actions as required.
• Recommends and executes on selected PMO process improvements under guidance of PMO team to ensure continued maturing of the site PM capabilities.
• Drives PMO resource planning and alignment processes including maintenance of the site's resource planning database, PDWare, to gather, analyze and report out the project resource demand and capacity data.
• Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.

Travel requirement: Minimal (5%-10%)

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience with Bachelors Degree OR 2+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree

Nice to Have
• Understanding and demonstrated capabilities for application of Project Management principles, concepts, practices and standards
• Verbal and written presentation and communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Project and MS Office
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards: ISO13485, EN14971, EN62340, EN60601
• Ability to operate and be effective in a matrix organizational structure
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage priorities accordingly.
• Experience in development and sustaining of medical devices/capital equipment
• Experience with project resource management tools (e.g. PDWARE)
• Quality System experience in a regulated industry (e.g. medical devices, pharmaceuticals)
• CAPM, PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification.
