As a Senior Sales Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for taking an active role in the planning, content development and implementation of high-impact training programs and learning experiences that drive the performance of the Group Distribution sales organization. This candidate will have strong skills and experiences in sales L&D and an understanding of the sales process (and roles) to build upon the team's capabilities for delivering blended, innovative, and modern learning & sales enablement solutions utilizing digital design and delivery platforms. You will be viewed as an L&D expert who works closely with key stakeholder and partners to bring innovative talent development solutions that help drive forward Guardian's strategic growth priorities.

You will
Be a key contributor to the modernation of sales training and enablement through the use of digital training design, delivery, reinforcement and coaching solutions to drive performance improvement of our sales professionals.
Support the design, development and management of sales training programs including (but not limited to) the Early Career Program, Experienced New Hire, National Sales meetings, and role-based curriculums.
Manage and continue to evolve Guardian's broker training offerings.
Collaborate with the Sales Enablement team on the identification of targeted sales enablement opportunities where training will help influence measurable performance objectives.
Play an integral role in the build-out, implementation and management of the MindTickle, Sales Enablement/Training platform.
Manage learning content and program curriculums - auditing and updating training assets as needed, and building and maintaining digital learning paths.
Consult as the L&D Subject Matter Expert (SME) with sales, internal business and product partners on the design, development and delivery of training.
Develop and manage the training strategy for projects aligned to key priorities.
Follow the complete training development lifecycle (ADDIE)
Design for learning impact and transfer utilizing various delivery and reinforcement methods (70-20-10 metholody), and assess impact of training on desired outcomes.
Apply training best practices based on adult learning theory to meet learning needs; methods include but are not limited to: instructor-led classroom and virtual, micro-/e-learning, self-directed, social & collaborative learning, video, podcasts, online assessments, games, simulations, role plays, etc.
Develop course storyboards and learning activities (including role plays and simulations), determine appropriate delivery mechanisms, and partner closely with the Instructional Technology team in the development of micro-learning courses.
Contribute to cross-team initiatives as needed.
Design & deliver Salesforce training as needed.
Keep up-to-date on both Group Benefits and Learning industry trends
You have
Bachelors degree in Learning/Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design/Technology, Marketing, Human Resources or related field
5 plus years of L&D experience and/or Group Benefits Sales experience performing in some capacity as a sales subject matter expert, mentor or coach
Group Benefits product knowledge - Guardian (or similar company)
An understanding of Guardian (or similar company) sales organization and drivers of sales performance
Developed and managed competency-based sales leadership training programs focusing on new hires, high-potential career progression and ongoing development for existing employees
Experience with Salesforce and other Guardian systems utilized by sales roles to perform their job
Experience designing and implementing sales process and systems training
Knowledge of learning and development methodologies; formal design and development approaches and adult learning best practices
Experience with the complete training development lifecycle-analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE)
Led or participated in large scale training implementations
Familiarity with training technology as it relates to design and development (i.e., Articulate, Rise), learning management systems and Learning Experience Platforms used to deploy, maintain and monitor learning (Saba, Intrepid, MindTickle, WalkMe)
Follows through on commitment and holds self and others accountable for achieving required outcomes
Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel for data analytics and reporting
Expererience deploying a variety of programs and/or solutions to geographically dispersed audiences
