Arcadis is seeking a Strategic Advisory Consultant to join our team in New York City.

The Strategic Advisory Consultant (SAC) will apply a combination of capability and methodologies to a large-scale digital transformation program. In this role you will be responsible for the project management of distinct modernization initiatives across the organization and must utilize your understanding and experience of data requirements gathering, business process improvement and people and business change management. You will also be responsible for effective transitioning of existing teams, for identifying data, process and system improvement opportunities, redesigning processes and data models (e.g., lean improvements), establishing organization support, and supporting the development of the target operating model.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Own project management processes and policies and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives.

  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and collaboration within projects and ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction.

  • Direct, define and lead the development and continuous improvement of project-wide processes, data, systems, and policies, and contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance.

  • Plan and implement initiatives with a focus on data and process validation, operational efficiency, and the associated controls to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity resulting in significant business improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Facilitate working groups to develop requirements and drive change using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, business analysis.

  • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to develop data and process improvement requirements, appropriate recommendations, and implementation plan, including performing data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending to develop appropriate changes.

  • Lead workshops, meetings and discussions to develop and maintain a strategic program roadmap, priorities, project plans and milestones by workstreams.

  • Ensure key risks and issues are identified, documented, mitigated, and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.

Key Attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and navigate the organization using formal / informal networking skills.

  • Experience managing business relationships at executive level.

  • Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to absorb complex concepts and support development of actionable, achievable, and measurable improvements.

  • Expert communication skills

  • Experience with various transformation methodologies, Lean Six sigma, Sigma, etc.

  • Expert level skills in Excel and in process mapping tools (e.g. Visio).

  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

  • More than 5 years' relevant experience, incl. over 2 years of project management experience
