As the Financial Analyst, you will support the Sr. Finance Manager / Unit Controller and are a key member of Nuclear market finance team. The role analyzes, researches, reports and communicates key financial information at the direction of the Sr. Manager regarding the market's operations in 5 lines of business in Projects and Specialties within the Nuclear and Industrial markets operating under double-breasted labor posture(s).

The Work You'll Be Doing:


  • Support period close and reporting process, annual GPP (budget) development, annual year-end external audit, and quarterly forecast submissions.

  • Assist in the concise, timely, effective analysis and reporting of financial and operating performance.

  • Support the preparation of client / project forecasting and budgeting. Including the consolidation and preparation of period/quarterly/annual president level presentations.

  • Maintain value added dash board reports, metrics, and KPI's for the Open Shop Nuclear Projects, Specialties and Industrial line(s) of business, clients, sites, and/ or projects as required.

  • Actively participate in the assessment of client RFP / RFQ opportunities. Perform analysis and reviews on the performance and adequacy of Results Analysis on all active contracts versus the original proforma 'sold as' models. Mitigate financial risk by providing impact analysis' to VP and line of business leaders.

  • Maintain financial models including proforma pricing to support operations activities such as but not limited to Client contract bid and proposal analysis and pricing for time and material, firm fixed price, and cost plus rate opportunities while assessing and applying known or anticipated contract terms and conditions. Conduct revenue vs cost analysis to identify margin slippage and cost anomalies.

  • Support all financial activities for multiple (> 50) remote sites and field locations, in MC's Open Shop Nuclear Projects, Specialties and Industrial lines of business under double-breasted labor posture(s).

What You Need to Bring to the Table:


  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus, CPA a plus

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst Role

  • Mastery of financial modeling and analytical techniques with a basis in Microsoft excel. This includes equation/formula building and the ability to leverage and work within large data sets.

  • Works well as a member of a team and follow directions.

  • Solid analysis and quantitative skills.

  • Proven knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  • Knowledge of Government cost accounting standards and FAR provisions.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet expedited deadlines to limit disruption and downtime.

  • Ability to understand requirements and develop programs and applications

  • Effective written and oral skills.
