Chubb Global Risk Advisors (CGRA) is your single avenue to our more than 550 property and casualty engineering, health, safety and environmental consultants located wherever our clients do business – all focused on helping our clients develop and deploy solutions that advance their risk management, compliance and sustainability objectives, while positively impacting their financial results.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

Chubb Global Risk Advisors has an opening for a Safety Professional. You will provide comprehensive safety support to our clients’ sites regionally located across Ohio to Virginia. Industrial Hygiene and/or Ergonomics skills would be a big plus. We are willing to provide training and educational support in these areas for the right candidate. The position will be home-based.  Anticipate 50-60% travel, depending on where you live. With education, experience, and a higher certification, such as CSP or CIH, there is opportunity for advancement to the position of Principal Consultant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide fundamental safety support to resolve issues of limited complexity under the general direction of a more experienced Safety professional.

  • Provide technical support to evaluate and interpret the impact of safety related rules and regulations promulgated by OSHA and ANSI.

  • Conduct safety field assessments for the following at client facilities:

    • Machine Guarding

    • Safety Auditing

    • Electrical Safety

    • Lockout Tagout

    • Safety & Health Training



  • Write technical reports summarizing the data and findings of your field assessments, and submit for quality review within 30 days of the end of the assessment.

  • Maintain high ethical standards commensurate with our profession. Maintain absolute client confidentiality and respect all privacy issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Proficiency in English is essential. Other languages are a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial safety, industrial hygiene or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI Standards.

  • Five years of experience preferred. Previous consulting experience is a plus.

  • Ability to evaluate, interpret, and recommend actions/solutions for problems of limited complexity. You will have help/support from a profoundly knowledgeable group of professional experts.


  • Verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and present and explain moderately complex technical information to all levels of personnel and management.


  • Effective organizational skills necessary to handle multiple tasks in demanding, often new, environments with tight and changing schedules while providing high-level customer service and good follow-through.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with a broad cross-section of people, including effective interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact, discretion, and mature judgment.

 

Location –Ohio or Virginia

Travel – 50-60% travel
