Mechanics Bank is looking for a Banking Services Officer for our Fort Jones, CA Branch.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the retail office. This position manages the operational services functions to ensure prompt and efficient transaction processing and the generation of internal sales through quality referrals. Creates, trains and coaches a successful service and referral team.
What you will do:
Directly supervise employees while overseeing assigned functions
Interview, hire, train employees
Plan, assign and direct work
Manage and appraise employee performance
Develop and maintain customer relationships and interact regularly to resolve issues and deal with more complex financial needs of customers
Generate revenue and fee income through promoting Bank services, deposits and lending products as well as customer referrals to other business units
Provide leadership for the branch daily sales and operations activities
Ensure branch audits are successful and promptly address any audit findings
Oversee staffing levels to ensure Branch performs efficiently while ensuring top-quality customer service standards are maintained
May function as most senior officer; must be experienced in opening all types of consumer and business accounts for customers
Evaluate and analyze bank data for adherence to budget, goals, and other financial targets in collaboration with BSM, Branch Manager or Region Manager.
Represent the Bank at community events to further enhance the Bank's image and develop new business opportunities
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related business or financial field preferred, or high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years progressively responsible experience in branch operations, with a mix of operational and sales experience or a minimum of 2 years experience as a Branch Services Representative
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
Experience in consumer and small business lending
Some outbound sales calling experience or training
Working knowledge of Bank products, services, operational policies and procedures, and compliance regulations.
