Project Manager III - IT (Contract Talent)

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Project Manager III - IT, your specific responsibilities will include:

• Manage end-to-end project delivery of multiple projects with highly complex issues, tech platforms.


• Typically manage projects at the Enterprise level.


• Responsible for managing and monitoring the scrum processes with the coordination of scrum team(s) in Agile Methodology. 


• Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values


• Highly effective organization of meetings to ensure flow, participation, progress, proactive mitigation of risks and issues; can train others.


• Drive high level planning of the work, as well as more detailed Agile-based planning of work and milestones


• Independently track key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the project.


• Provide guidance, mentor project team.


• Analyze and drive resolution of issues


• Support the team's focus on risk identification and mitigation; provide recommendations reflecting a project management focus


• Interact with necessary stakeholders/team members to manage project scope and identify, evaluate, communicate, escalate issues.


• Proactively define and implement communications mechanisms that meet the needs of individual team members and project stakeholders at all levels. Oversee communications on the part of the team to ensure high degree of effectiveness.

Skills:

• Demonstrable experience of Waterfall Project Management and Scrum Management


• Planning experience


• Matrix management


• Stakeholder management, negotiation & communication skills


• MS Project, JIRA/Confluence experience a plus


• General knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure environment.


• General ability to maintain forward progress despite conflicting priorities and competition for resources.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in IT Project Management.


• PMP desired (or comparable PM certification).


• 10+ years’ IT experience of which is required 7+ years’ project management experience.


• 5+ years' Scrum Master experience in any well known software environment


• General knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure environment.
