About the Position

VHB is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to lead hiring across various regions along the east coast. They will be excellent at sourcing, screening and recommending the best people for our hiring teams. They will have no problem jumping into a project or a search - whether it is something that is in their wheelhouse or brand new. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of professionals in the AEC space.

Responsibilities


  • Source, recruit, screen and select professionals in the Architecture/Engineering industry

  • Source passive and active candidates through internet searches, LinkedIn, and other social media sites, developing a network and process to support a strong bench of qualified candidates

  • Assess effectiveness of recruitment strategies, identify, and place targeted advertising, and ensure compliance with legal requirements

  • Leverage technology to enhance the recruiting process/candidate flow

  • Develop recruitment strategies for open positions in partnership with hiring managers and regional HR partners

  • Guide and direct the interview, offer, and hiring process

  • Come up with creative sourcing techniques in and outside of LinkedIn Recruiter

  • Track all recruiting activity using an online applicant tracking system

  • Remain up to date on recruiting news, laws, industry trends and technology

  • Ability to creatively approach the recruiting challenges of a highly competitive market

  • Strong ability to build relationships with candidates in a variety of levels of seniority and abilities

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Ability to be consultative in nature while establishing relationships and work effectively with hiring managers and regional HR managers

  • Initiative and resourcefulness

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction (A/E/C) required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance to hiring managers on staffing needs and issues

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruiting priorities in a highly dynamic environment

  • Work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy both individually and as part of a team effort

New employees will be onboarded virtually and begin their employment from home. We are in the process of planning for a safe return to the workplace in alignment with government and CDC guidelines. When that happens, it'll be flexible to in-office or hybrid.
