Summary

Responsible for working with plant Leaders and hourly personnel to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in standards and practices, that lead to equipment reliability. Responsible for adhering to LCI core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives. Responsible for conducting meaningful conversations with Production personnel. All Maintenance positions support operations and production first, whenever necessary.

Essential Functions


  1. Autonomous Maintenance - Responsible for working with the preventative maintenance teams to create documents and boards that support Autonomous Maintenance; Responsible for updating and maintaining existing documents and boards as required/assigned

  2. Field Work - Works with Maintenance and Operations personnel on the production floor to understand and document processes

  3. Goals/Milestones - May be responsible for any work assigned to help the Maintenance, Safety, Quality, or Lean Groups reach their goals/milestones; Schedules, attends, leads, and participates in any meetings necessary to drive those goals/milestones

  4. 7s for Maintenance - May be requested to assist in 7s projects that lay the foundation for World Class Maintenance

  5. Required to observe all safety rules and policies; must maintain and promote the safety of systems and equipment

  6. Able to demonstrate basic computer, reading/writing, communication skills, and the ability to read/interpret manuals and technical drawings

  7. Highly motivated, organized, self starter, able execute work from daily schedule; experience with performing preventative maintenance tasks to set standard preferred

  8. Required to use honesty, integrity, and candor with the entire Maintenance team to create trust, and to support their passion for winning; must be reliable and prompt

  9. Committed to a maintaining positive attitude and caring about people

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active - while performing this job the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

In addition, the team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position. Monday - Friday 1st shift. Some Mandatory Saturdays.

Travel

Travel to secure necessary parts or tooling

Required Education and Experience


  1. High school diploma or equivalent

  2. Must have history of working with and coaching team members from various backgrounds

  3. Must have basic Windows platform computer skills with Outlook, Excel, and Power Point

  4. Must be willing to learn additional computer skills, as needed

  5. Must have experience with basic metal fabrication or manufacturing processes

  6. Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers

  7. Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required

  8. Must successfully complete LCI Tabware Inspection App Training

Preferred Education and Experience


  1. Basic Maintenance - Basic knowledge of manufacturing facilities, machines, lawn maintenance, and plant equipment

  2. Strong Knowledge/Experience in pneumatic

  3. Knowledge/Experience in electrical maintenance

  4. Knowledge/Experience in mechanical maintenance

  5. Schematics - Ability to read electrical & pneumatic prints

  6. Repair - Education/Experience with machine operation and repair

  7. Lean - Knowledge/Experience with preventative maintenance, world class manufacturing methodologies, predictive maintenance, 7s, lean/six sigma principles, and/or daily team maintenance preferred
