Job Description
The Lead Compounder Operator is responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads the Compoundingdepartment in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
Manages the business unit production board
Leads the daily shift meeting
Operates compounding equipment independently and performsall tasks in different areas of compounding, such as schedule adherence, pre-weight, dispensing raw material, mixing, and milling
Directing the team to accomplish a safe and productive shift
Perform all the required tasks in the Gel department, such as understanding gel schedule priorities, dispensing gel raw material into reactor, operate gel reactor, mixing and deration, dispensing gel from reactor into gel tank
Matches all labels with batch records
Documents compounding/gel formula batch record procedures and process
Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
Identifies issues effecting efficiencies and assists in developing solutions
Monitors productivity and motivates associates in production and/or distribution areas
Ensures that all paperwork is properly documented
Job Requirements
Prior manufacturing environment required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Military leadership experience aplus
Basic computer skills required
Must be able to manipulate spreadsheets and report data
High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to lead a team and operatemeetings
Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb, bend, etc within a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to move drum container 200 kg. on/off the pallet
Must be able to work with known allergens, i.e. fish oils and or other products derived from fish
