General Summary:

Role is responsible for the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of freight/logistics systems within the National Distribution Center. This individual will drive process improvements though data review, documentation, and cross functional communication. The position consists of daily and weekly tasks in addition to one-time projects supporting all Greenheck Group business units.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

40% - Provide second level SAP Super User support for all Greenheck Group locations warehousing, distribution, and logistics functions.


  • Primary party responsible for support of the Logistics Admin folder, helping users with complex SAP issues they and their direct supervisory team are not able to solve. Support includes, but is not limited to, sourcing, manufacturing, sales, and shipping procedures as it relates to distribution and logistics.

  • Determine root cause analysis for issues, coordinate efforts with IT system support staff for resolution when needed, and propose long term corrective actions to leadership when possible

  • Provide support & training of operations areas as needed including freight assignment and payment processes.

  • Create, train, and maintain multiple SOP documents to ensure system work and processes are adhered to at all SAP shipping points

40% - Administer various system activities to support initiatives in customer service, system integrity, and on time ship metrics.


  • Monitor Distribution and Logistics Critical Items to ensure operational processes and system requirements are being kept up to date. Several of these reports require research, analysis, and decision making for the disposition of the item/order. Issue tracking, identifying trends in errors, and regular reporting of these critical reports to the performance expectations will be required.

  • Maintain the virtual factory system to ensure facility communication is up to date and accurate for all team members.

  • Daily analysis of prior day Greenheck Group shipments for missing 3PL EDI data. Determine reason for error, correct EDI files when feasible, update system to ensure accurate information is made visible for customer

  • Monitor open 3PL truckload shipments for missing status updates. Determine reason for status error, research to determine if duplicate files exist if found work with partners to eliminate duplicate data, update SAP with accurate information.

20% - Maintain SAP master data for distribution and logistics functions to ensure prompt and accurate processing of materials and shipments.


  • SAP master data creation and maintenance. Review business unit/operational requests for system functionality. Determine required system changes needed to achieve request then update IANs and/or SAP master tables to ensure all distribution and logistics systems perform as desired. Areas of knowledge will include material master, packaging rules and automation, carrier creation and routing.

  • If requests are identified as outside of standard system functionality, work with business unit/operations to develop a functional spec request defining requirement as well as supporting documentation for the change (ROI).


  • Assist with SAP quality and integration testing for new locations, processes, and transactions to ensure successful go live.

  • Define business scenarios required to support upcoming go live of location, process, or transaction. Assist with creation of test scripts and participate in cross functional efforts to validate system set up operates as intended.

  • Gaining knowledge of cross-system system functionality will be a requirement. In addition to the in-depth SAP knowledge in this role the user will also need to be able to understand the CAPS to SAP interface, as well as the 3PL and parcel system integrations.

  • Participate with roll out, training, and support of new locations, processes, and transactions.

Job Qualifications:


  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular associate's college program.

  • SAP experience preferred.


  • Requires 1 to 3 years progress work experience.

  • Requires a strong systems aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in cross functional teams as well as work alone on tasks.

  • Ability to work with internal and external customers, carrier personnel, 3PL personnel, and other third-party organizations.

  • Multi-tasking, critical thinking, and organization skills a must.
