Akima Global Technology has an immediate need for an intermediate Data/Enterprise Architect in Ft. Knox, KY to support the U.S. Army’s Human Resource Command (HRC) as a contract staff member responsible for the enterprise architecture products vital to the delivery, operational transition, sustainment, and disposition of HR capabilities to include programs that reach Milestones for Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations and Prototypes.

Responsibilities may include:



  • Develop various mission level DoDAF 2.x models including As-Is and To-Be enterprise architecture descriptions covering all aspects of Army HR Domain.




  • Prepare architecture products and briefings.




  • Develop architecture descriptions IAW Army Laws, Regulations and Policies




  • Develop, review, and update DoDAF 2.x compliant architecture artifacts, models, and viewpoints using Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect (Sparx EA) to build the products ranging from Unclassified to Classified.




  • Develop architecture views IAW Unified Modeling Language (UML), Unified Profile for DoDAF and Ministry of Defense Architecture Framework (MoDAF) (UPDM) Profile



 

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Active secret clearance




  • BA/BS or 3-5 years of IT experience using Sparx EA




  • Knowledge and experience using Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools such as SparxEA to develop compliant architectural artifacts aligned to EA frameworks.




  • Knowledge and experience with the DoDAF architectural framework




  • Knowledge and experience with scripting languages preferably Java Script.




  • Be able to take a business first approach and align IT solutions to business drivers such as Laws, Regulations, Policies and Standards.




  • Work with Business SMEs supporting them in developing architectural models, e.g., Terminology Models, Operational Models, Business Process Models, Logical Data Models, etc. work with Infrastructure and Storage SMEs supporting the development of System Models, work with Security SMEs in developing supporting models for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and the Authority To Operate (ATO).




  • Ability to develop reference architecture models to support efforts such as Strategic Roadmaps, Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and Multi-Cloud environments.




  • Understands and can provide support for interfacing architectural models with DevSecOps capabilities, e.g., Physical Data Models, User Stories, etc.




  • Ability to leverage EA tools to create consumable artifacts from the models for team members.




  • Ability to provide relationship linkage between architecture artifact to show traceability, identify and eliminate duplicity.




  • Operate within an Agile work environment leveraging agile-based methodologies and tools, identify backlogs, and sprint tasks, direct team members, report to leadership.

  • 3+ years of military experience (desired)
