Assist with intake process with new clients into program.
Communicates with BHT staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
Responsible for reviewing communication logs and passing important information onto the unit.
Listens to clients and BHT’s concerning all areas of treatment.
Maintains a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention.
Follows objectives of treatment plans.
Assists with interventions with clients.
Attends shift change, Team meetings and Company meetings.
Responsible for conducting searches of clients when they return back to the facility.
Monitors treatment for necessary hygiene and medical needs.
Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provides input.
Trains new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
Coordinates and leads activities including lectures, recreation and meetings.
Assists clients with obtaining a sponsor.
Attends trainings as required and ensures BHT staff are also attending.
Helps with upkeep of the department.
Displays leadership and is a positive role model for BHT staff and clients.
Team builder and promotor of a positive work environment.
Assists BHT Supervisors when needed.
Report issues with coworkers or policy violations to the BHT supervisors.
Lead coworkers on daily scheduled shift to perform to expectation and potential.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Competencies: Capable of role modeling to the clients. Helps to maintain a strong clinical program. Staff able to work together to effectively meet the needs of the clients. Maintains positive relationship with clients. Complete required trainings mandatory trainings hours. Strong skills in D&A and mental health treatment. A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, DDAP, DHS, and CARF regulations. Valid Driver’s License.
